Hello everybody! I'm so excited to be re-joining the team at Park Meadows for another incredible year!
I have been part of this fantastic school and community for 6 years, teaching grades 1-3. I graduated from the University of Lethbridge just over 10 years ago, and began my teaching career in Coalhurst and Nobleford. I taught a variety of subjects from Kindergarten to Grade 12, however was mainly focused on elementary education.
Over the last 6 years at Park Meadows I have mainly taught Grade 2/3, while also taking some time at home to raise our 2 boys: Seth (almost 4 years old) and Nixon (1 years old). I am married to Graham, and as a family we love to be outside, hanging out with family and friends, travelling, and going to Sonder for waffles and coffee.
I'm an avid life long learner and make it a goal to help students realize that we ALL have strengths, and that "smart" looks different for everyone. I love building community and connections within our classroom and school, and firmly believe in the importance of treating each other how we want to be treated.
I have always advocated that it takes a village to raise a child, and have come to understand this even more as I'm now raising my own children. I love working with families and am always honoured to play a role in helping children become the best they can be.
I look forward to reconnecting with all the students and families at Park Meadows, and especially with my Grade 2/3 class. Let's have a great year learning from each other!
