Katie van der Meer
Grade 3
Hi! My name is Katie van der Meer. This is my third year teaching grade 2/3 at Park Meadows and my 12th year teaching. I taught in Australia and Calgary before moving home to Lethbridge. I have a six year old son starting grade one this year and three year old daughter starting preschool. I am very passionate about teaching literacy and can’t wait to learn and grow with my students! My goal is to create a safe and supportive classroom environment for my students to become life-long learners and feel comfortable to take risks in their learning. Some of my favourite things are camping, coffee, chocolate, travelling to warm places, and spending time with my family. I'm looking forward to a great year!
