Twist & Sprout
We are excited to invite you to our Spring Fine Arts Showcase: Twist and Sprout — a joyful celebration of music, movement, and creativity inspired by the timeless music of The Beatles!
PERFORMANCE DETAILS:
Date: Wednesday, May 28th
Location: Park Meadows Baptist Church Address: 2011 – 15 Avenue N
Afternoon Rehearsal: 1:30 PM (we will walk from our school together after lunch)
Evening Showcase: 6:00 PM (all families welcome! Doors open at 5:45 pm.)
Our students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 have been working hard to prepare a delightful variety of performances. To help the show look as great as it sounds, we ask that students come dressed in the following attire (if you have it) based on their grade level:
Kindergarten - Bright, solid-colored tops and dark bottoms (comfortable for movement)
Grade 1 - Tie-dye or retro-style shirts and jeans or dark pants
Grade 2 - All black with a colorful accessory (scarf, hat, belt, etc.)
Grade 2/3 Krawchuck - All black, loose and comfortable. Black socks
Grade 3 - White top and black bottoms, optional Beatles-style sunglasses. (No crocs, please)
Grade 4 - 60s-inspired outfit (think flower power, vests, bold prints)
Grade 4/5 Esau - Rock & Roll inspired outfit (pleather jacket if you have one, ripped pants, bandanas, fingerless gloves, dark jeans, etc…)
Grade 5 - Senior/Elderly attire. (Shirts with suspenders, khaki pants, slippers, grey wig or grey spray for hair, fake glasses, plaid shirts tucked in, cardigans, knitted sweaters, shawls, etc…
Please have your child arrive 15 minutes before the 6:00 PM performance. From there, they will find their teacher. The church has requested parents support their children in good behaviour while in the building.
