COVID-19 Update

Hello all parents & guardians,

The Gov't of AB just announced today some new measures concerning COVID-19 and schools. Here is a summary:

  • all K-5 students (including EEP students) who are currently learning at school will remain in-school until Dec. 18th
  • Holiday Break will start Dec. 19th and finish Jan. 3rd.
  • all students will start again on Jan. 4th but learning will occur from home under the direction of your child's homeroom teacher. Students will not be permitted back in the school building during this week. All students will be learning from home online during this first week of until Jan. 8th. Your child's homeroom teacher will connect with you regarding how to do learning from home for this week.
  • Please note that Monday, Jan. 4th will considered a “Connect with Families” Day dedicated for teachers to connect with families to prior to learning starting. The first day of online classes will then start Tuesday, Jan. 5th.
  • at this time, classes are set to return to in-person learning on Jan. 11th for those students currently enrolled in in-person learning. If there are any changes to this, we will let you know.
  • no changes are occurring to current online learners at this time. The above changes only affect in-school learners.
