SCHOOL HISTORY |
|
The sub-division of the area known as PARK MEADOWS, and the subsequent extensive house-building program that followed, made it very evident that the Public School Board would have to give serious consideration to the building of an elementary school to take care of those students resideing in the vicinity of 26th Ave and 18th St. North. At a regular meeting of the Board on September 9th, 1974, authorization was given for the preparation of the five-year plan, with reference to the provision of school buildings and facilities, to cover the period 1976 to 1981. An ad hoc committee was appointed to draw up the plan, the building of two new elementary schools, one in the North Lethbridge and one in West Lethbridge was placed high on the priorities list. |
