Welcome Back to school year 2018-2019!
I am pleased to be teaching Skills again for my third year. This is my sixth year teaching at Park Meadows! My husband and I are proud parents to three teenagers, and our oldest child, Lauren, is heading to the University of Lethbridge this year! Our oldest son, Matthew got his driver's licence and will be able to drive our youngest son, Andrew, to high school with him. All our family live in the East Coast (NB), and we moved here 11 years ago from PEI.
We will have an amazing year with lots of growth in literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Each student will have a schedule to achieve success throughout the day. Our program consists of homeroom time including making friends, hands on learning, gym, library, and music. As well as weekly music therapy, weekly swimming, Tacpac, and regular snoezelen time. Needs, such as toileting and feeding, are easily accommodated to ensure that all students participate in recess with their friends.
Our website is updated monthly, with a weekly tab to keep you updated for the week. Daily home communication duo tangs will be sent home daily. As well we LOVE using the remind101 app which we can communicate by text; I love to send pictures of your child doing great things!
Join our classroom REMIND 101 by simply texting @dfek4 to the number (587) 409-1225. You'll receive a welcome text from Remind. This is a secure and private way (no one sees phone numbers) for you to receive updates from me about our class.
If you have any questions or comments, please let me know by remind 101, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or call the school 403-328-9965.
